Obituary of Ralph Paul Brown

Bolton Landing: Ralph Paul Brown, 63, of Trout Lake Road, passed away peacefully to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with COPD. Born November 11, 1952 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Nellie (Smith) Brown. Following his graduation from Bolton Central School in 1970, Ralph enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country as an aircraft mechanic until his Honorable Discharge in 1974. Following his discharge, he and his brother Gary owned and operated Brown Bros. Exxon in Queensbury for several years. Ralph was a very talented carpenter and a master of his craft, proudly working for Hacker Boat Co. before starting his own construction business. Besides working hard to support his family, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an active member and President of the Bolton Conservation Club, the Secretary to the Warren County Conservation Council, and a member of the Bolton American Legion, Post 961. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Larry, Frank, Charles and Gary Brown, and sister, Linda Bartlett. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Elaine Chiovarou-Brown of Bolton Landing; his children, Paul Benjamin, Matthew Richard, Daniel Charles and Hunter Philip Brown, all of Bolton Landing; his sister, Marie Dagles of Bolton Landing, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws, and many close friends. And Herman! Friends are invited to call on Ralph’s family from 10 to 11:30 am, Monday, July 18, 2016 at Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, 12 Church Hill Rd., Bolton Landing. A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 11:30 am, at the church with Rev. Skip Hults, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at 2 pm in Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
