Obituary of Agnes E. Villeneuve

North Creek: Agnes E. Villeneuve, 99, formerly of Main Street, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness. Born January 29, 1918 in North Creek, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Addie (Roblee) Freebern. She was a lifelong resident of the area and married John Villeneuve on December 28, 1948 and enjoyed 59 blissful years together until his passing in 2007. Besides her parents and beloved husband, John, she is predeceased by ten of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Lorrie Porter-Bedard of West Chazy; two granddaughters, Nicole McGrath and her husband, Michael and son, Macklin of Queensbury and Marah Dashnaw and her husband, Evan of West Chazy; her sister, Ann Porter, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Agnes’s family from 11 am to 1 pm, Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Creek. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the North Creek Baptist Church, 93 Main St., North Creek, NY 12853.
