Obituary of Dale A. Warrington

North Creek: Dale A. Warrington, 59, of St. Rte. 8, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness, with her loving family by her side. Born March 22, 1954 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Doris (Cameron) Fish of Warrensburg and the late David Fish. Dale attended Warrensburg Central School before graduating from Johnsburg Central School and later received her LPN Certification from BOCES. She married George D. Warrington on June 22, 1971 at the Sodom Community Church by Daisy Allen. Dale began her working career as a nurse at Saratoga Hospital. She also worked for her mother at the White Pine Restaurant in Wevertown, for many years. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, crafting, knitting, crocheting, and catching up with her family and friends through social media. The determination and courage Dale showed throughout her illness was an inspiration to all who knew her. Besides her mother, Dale is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, George Warrington of North Creek; her daughters, Amy Talmage and her husband, Walt, of Fort Edward, Heather Warrington of Hudson Falls, Nicole Stevens and her husband, Jason, of North Creek, and her four legged, furry daughter, Chi Chi; grandchildren, Darren Warrington, Caleb Buckley, Nicholas and Taylor Talmage, Daysia Davis, Brady and Adyson Warrington, and Dalton, Aileen, and Bryce Stevens; her siblings, Harry, Michael, Ricky, Gregory, and Monty Fish, James Selleck, Bonnie Monroe, Brenda Truesdale, Jennifer Steeg, Daveen Granger, Tammy Ely, and Debbie Coller; her best friend and cousin, Angela Vernum; as well as her sibling’s spouses, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Dale’s family from 12 to 3 pm, Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 3 pm, at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Allen, Pastor of the Sodom Community Church, officiating. Dale’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sponzo and the staff at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, as well as the staff at Albany Medical Center for the outstanding care mom received during her illness.
