Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Queensbury:
Eileen A. Beswick, 75, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, February 4th, 2019 at the Glens Falls Centers Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was the daughter of the late Leopold and Geneva Santerre of Cambridge and Saratoga Springs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Raymond-whom she shared a special bond with.
Eileen attended Cambridge Central School before meeting the love of her life, Dennis Beswick. Some of their first dates included dinner and square dancing at the local establishments in the Stony Creek/ Thurman area. Eileen and Dennis married on July 24th, 1976. Together they raised a family which includes two sons and a stepson, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She enjoyed finding treasures at garage sales and dollar stores, always finding something to add to her special collection. You could find her at Suttons or the Harvest Restaurant being the loving sister she always was. She was an avid dog lover, her most recent dog Scooter could always make her smile.
Eileen loved her family and enjoyed spending time together celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. Christmas by far was her favorite. Her inner child always shined bright with excitement around that time of year.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Dennis Beswick of Queensbury, her sons Stephen (Tina) Beswick and Brian (Carolyn) Beswick, her brother Donald (Barbara) Santerre, her brother in law Charles Raymond III, and her grandchildren as well as her great grandchildren.
At Eileen’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be conducted at Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mihindu and the nurses and staff at the dialysis center for their five years of caring and compassion. They would also like to thank the Glens Falls Center nursing facility for her charity in her name.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a charity of one's choice.
