Obituary of Agnes L. McNeill

Warrensburg: Agnes L. McNeill, 85, formerly of Bateman Drive, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Pines at Glens Falls surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 8, 1924 in Lake George, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Delia (Cosgrove) Bateman. Agnes was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Arthur E. McNeill on April 3, 1942 in Fort Ann by Rev. Dwight D. Santimier. She was a member of the Warrensburg First Presbyterian Church and was active with the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce over the years. She worked for many years at the former Warrensburg Shirt factory and also at Fort William Henry. Her favorite pastimes included cooking for family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Arthur McNeill; two brothers, Henry Russell and Albert Bateman, and sister, Helen Fisher. She is survived by her son, Peter J. McNeill and his wife, Jennie of Warrensburg, her two granddaughters, Serena Rumble and her husband, Cody and Jennifer McNeill all of Warrensburg; her great granddaughter, Chloe and Jade Rumble; her daughter, Patricia Coryer and her husband, Robert of Queensbury; along with nieces and nephews, David Russell, Jamie Fuller, Rosie Ross, Debbie Bennett, Delores Hoyes, Delia Ball, Adina Millington, and Wayne Bateman. At Agnes’ request, there are no calling hours scheduled. Graveside services will be conducted 10 am Saturday in the North Caldwell Cemetery, Lake George with the Rev. Richard Leonard, Pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Warrensburg EMS, PO Box 157, Warrensburg, NY 12885.
