My wife Diana and I are sad to hear of Jeff's passing. He was instrumental in saving the Borden family cottage on Garnet Lake, where Diana and her six siblings have vacationed for over 50 years. Thanks to Jeff's work, our children and grandchildren will be able to continue to enjoy the Adirondacks. He was a hard worker and a wonderful conversationalist, and our family will miss him.

Carol,you may not remember me. I met you and Jeff via Brian Sullivan as a volunteer at the Div. for youth group home. I also worked with Jeff at GFPD.
I'm so sorry for your loss(es). Just know that I think of you and Jeff fondly. Words can give little comfort when the loss is so recent but I hope that you will come to find comfort and peace with the passage of time. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Dear Carol and family,
I was so sad to hear about Jeff's passing. I have so many warm and vivid memories of my childhood with Jeff, Rand and Jane, Uncle Bob and Aunt Jean. Thanksgiving dinners, barbecues, staying over at their
house, Grandma's house, your wedding and even the song "There is Love" sung during your ceremony! He always impressed me with his strong spirit and fire in his eyes. He did have great and funny stories, I can still hear his laugh in my mind. I pray that God comforts and strengthens you all, and that He fills you with His love and peace. We all loved Jeff. My sympathies to all who Jeff's life has touched. Jeff and Carroll were my parents for almost three years and if it were not for them and there great example for love and support I'm sure I would not have had the wonderful life filled with joy and love for my wife of 30 yrs 3 grown children and four grand children. My deepest sympathy to Carol and the girls. One of the greatest guys, I, every had the pleasure to work with, and call my friend. Jeff was the best at everything he did. Hunting, fishing, writing and being a police officer. We used to joke around that, we slept together more than we did our spouses!! We worked midnight shift together and we kept each other entertained. I used to stop up to the house once in, a while to have coffee or just, chat. Carol you were the, best wife ever. It tears me up that I didn't stay in touch after I moved to Florida. There isn't a day that goes by that something I do will remind me of, Jeff. My best memory was just after he left the department I stopped by the, house with a sub sandwich, and we just sat, and talked. Jeff left an imprint on my life that will never be forgotten. He had a way of looking at the best in things after all, he had been thru. Carol please contact me for anything. I truly loved your husband as a free spirit, and I, wish I could be half the man he was . I truly missed Jeff and will always remember him..rest peacefully my friend and save me a spot in your fishing spot we have alot to catch up on..see you again my friend ..
