Obituary of Wanda B. Vopleus

Wanda B. (Rozelle) Vopleus, 81, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 18, 1929 in Orange, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Edith (Belles) Rozelle.
Wanda married Cecil G. Vopleus on September 12, 1949. The couple then moved to Long Island, where she became a seamstress. They later purchased a home in Athol, moving their family to the area in 1974. There, she worked in the Warrensburg dress factory.
Wanda was avid in sewing and crafts. She was an active member of the Over The Edge Quilting Group, and also belonged to the Home Bureau for many years.
She was passionate about her family, and thoroughly cherished time spent with them. Wanda enjoyed the family’s seasonal home in North Carolina, camping with her sons and grandchildren, and taking wonderful trips with her husband.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved son; Robert Cecil Vopleus, her brother; Raymond Rozelle, and sister; Arlene Rozelle Evans.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Cecil of Athol; her son; Donald L. Vopleus, and his wife, Myra, and grandsons; Robert D. Vopleus and Joshua J. Vopleus, all of Athol.
At Wanda’s request there are no services or calling hours scheduled.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Wanda’s memory to the Thurman Emergency Squad.
