Obituary of Penny K. Hill

Please share a memory of Penny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Adirondack: Penny Karlene Hill, 51, of Johnson Rd., passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born September 29, 1963 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Almeda (Moffitt) Hill of Chestertown, and the late Wilford Hill. Penny was employed by Micro Imaging, The Sagamore Resort, and various motels in the Lake George area. In addition to spending time with her family, and helping care for Frank Planty, Penny enjoyed going out on their boat, trips to Turning Stone Casino, and riding with her son, Jeremy in his big truck, taking junk to the Port Authority in Albany. Penny will be greatly missed. She was the type of person that either liked you or didn’t, and if she didn’t, you knew it; she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, what you see is what you got. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Hill of Adirondack, two sons, Jeremy Moffitt and his significant other, Jane Brainard, and Cody Moffitt; and a sister, Cindy Moffitt, all of Chestertown. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Otis. At Penny’s request there will be no calling hours or formal services scheduled. Friends are urged to gather, in celebration of her beautiful life, from 12 to 4 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2014, at the Chestertown Conservation Club, Knapp Hill Road, Chestertown. Penny’s family encourages those who attend to bring any photos they may have of her, to share. Please visit www.alexanderfh.net for online guest book and condolences.
