Earl R. Fuller, 80, of East Schroon River Road, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness.
One of the most wonderful of men has passed away into the arms of the Lord.
Born December 27, 1929 in Warrensburg, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mabel (Langworthy) Fuller.
Following his graduation from Warrensburg High School, Earl joined the US Navy and served his country for four years during the Korean War before his honorable discharge.
He married Carol Langworthy on July 1, 1956 and the couple spent 54 wonderful years filled with love and laughter together.
He retired as the store manager with the Grand Union in Warrensburg after many years of faithful service. He also worked at North End Discount for four years during his retirement years.
Earl was well known for his artwork and woodworking talents. Most recently he completed illustrative work collaborating with his daughter, Stacey on the book series, “Imaginary Friends”
Earl was a man that will be missed for his gentle smile, caring nature, sense of humor, honesty and warm personality. He was a true man in every sense of the word and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Besides his parents, his grandson, Charles Earl Webster; his brothers, Gordon and Leon; sister, Mildred Burch; brother in laws, Ralph Burch, Jack Wood, Austin Perry and Donald Langworthy; sister in laws, Frieda Fuller and Janet Langworthy have all predeceased him.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol of Diamond Point; his daughter, Stacey Lynn Webster and her husband, Charles of Warrensburg; granddaughter and the apple of his eye, Moriah Amadeo Webster of Warrensburg; his sister, Leila Wood of Thurman; his brother, Archie Fuller of Alabama; brother and sister in laws, Paul and Chris Langworthy, Roger and Dot Langworthy, and Katherine "Kit" Perry, all of Warrensburg, Lynn and Wayne Monroe of Brant Lake and Stan and Sharon Langworthy of Queensbury; several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Earl’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Glens Falls Hospital, ICU Unit for the wonderful care given to Earl in his time of need. Also for the care and compassion that was shown to his family during this trying time.
Friends may call on Earl’s family from 6-8 pm Monday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be conducted 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen Andrews, Pastor of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
