Queensbury: Nellie Heath, 94, of Queensbury, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 15, 1914 in Comstock, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Agnes (Fell) Heath. Nellie graduated from Hudson Falls High School and went on to earn a degree in genealogy from Colby College in Massachusetts. She was an airline stewardess with American Airlines during her early adult life. She was the Warren County Historian for over 20 years before retiring. Her love of genealogy and her lineage made her well suited for the Historian position as well as her memberships in the Stetson Kindred Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the John Alden Society. She was also a member of the Christ Church United Methodist in Glens Falls and the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to genealogy, animals and the family camp at Cleverdale were other favorite enjoyments. Her sister, Mary Roblin predeceased her. Survivors include her son, Dale Rapp of Queensbury; one sister, Alice Hubert of Queensbury; two granddaughters, Janelle Rapp and Kristalee Rapp both of Hudson Falls; three great grandchildren, Jadalee, Mason and Maia; several cousins including, Fred Hillis of Athol, MA. Graveside services will be conducted 1 pm Tuesday in the Warrensburg Cemetery. There are no calling hours scheduled.
