Roger J. Murray, Jr., 52, of Friends Lake Road, passed away, Monday, July 10, 2017, at his home.
Born August 3, 1964 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Barbara (Shepard) Maxam of Warrensburg, and the late Roger J. Murray, Sr.
He attended Fort Edward High School before enlisting in the United States Army.
Roger was employed by Pallets, Inc. in Fort Edward as an Electrician.
Besides spending time with his family, Roger was a jokester who enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying his drone, and dancing, even without music.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mickey Murray of Warrensburg; a daughter, Joelene Yaw of Hadlock; grandchildren, Lucas, Alayna, and Emily; step-children, Amanda Stoddard and Jarred Johnson; siblings, Rusty Gill, Burt Kinney, Ronald Murray, and Tammy Murray; niece, Maria Murray; in-laws, Dean and Marcia Meyers. He also leaves behind several extended family members and many friends.
Friends may call on Roger’s family from 2 to 4 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation, at 4 pm, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Roger’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
