Christine Ann Langworthy, 60, of Warrensburg NY Passed away August 3rd 2011.
Christine was born December 13, 1950, In Springfield Massachusetts.
Christine met her husband of 39 years, Paul Frederick Langworthy while working for the Grand Union. They were married on August 6, 1972.
Christine worked for the Grand Union Company 34 years, 25 of them as their bookkeeper. She graduated from Schroon Lake Central School in 1968 and then attended Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts to work towards her CPA.
Christine or Chris/Chrissy as she was called by her family and friends was known for her love of birds and flowers. She would often be found in her flower garden or on her porch watching the birds whenever anyone came to visit. She enjoyed spending time with the people in her life and She loved doing crafts with family and friends and often hosted craft parties at her house .She was a good hearted person who gave of herself and she would help anyone who asked. She was for some time; treasurer for St. Cecilia’s church along with being a religious education instructor.
She was a loving wife to Paul and for their 39 years together she was never a sister in law but always a sister to all in his family. She will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, ability to take a joke and her love of angels, which she had throughout their house. She was an avid photographer who enjoyed taking many pictures of family and friends. She had carried her camera from upstate NY to Mass. She believed that memories should be captured so they could always stay close to your heart. It is because of this belief we will always have a way to hold her in our hearts as a loving wife , mother , sister , aunt and friend. We all feel honored to have had her in our lives. This is the Christine that will always be remembered.
Christine is predeceased by her Grandparents, Joseph and Mae Dumas and Stanley and Sophie Biedron, Parents Joseph and Jane Dumas, Sandra Dumas (sister), Kenneth Dumas (Uncle), Florence Biedron (Aunt) Stacia Mitchel (aunt) and her husband Arthur, Agnes Perry (aunt) and her husband Lloyd, Brother in laws Donald Langworthy, Austin Perry and Earl Fuller and sister in-law Janet Langworthy.
Christine is survived by her loving husband Paul Langworthy, Karen Dumas Buske (sister), Joseph Dumas (brother) Pam Cote (daughter) and her husband Shane. David Buske (nephew), Justine Buske (nephew) Aunts and Uncles, Lloyd and Diane White, Lyle and Pauline Trumble, Victor and Phyllis Francis, Wailda Perry and Faye Dumas. Brother and sister in laws Roger and Dorothy Langworthy, Stanley and Sharon Langworthy, Wayne and Lynn Monroe, Carol Fuller, Katherine Perry and Caroline Langworthy. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Betsy Allen who was by her side in good times and bad with a friendly smile and a cup of ice coffee, Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday, August 8, 2011 at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 3802 Main St., Warrensburg, with Father Paul Cox, officiating.
Friends may call on Chris’ family one hour prior to the service at the church.
