Warrensburg: Larry H. Allen, Sr., 56, of Stacy Street, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Rutland Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born October 14, 1962 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Lila (Wilcox) Norton of Hudson Falls and the late Eugene Allen. He spent most of his adolescent years in Kentucky. Larry worked with concrete for many years until his illness forced him into an early retirement. He loved to ride motorcycles and go on camping trips with his brother, Gene and family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and had a big heart but didn’t take any bull. Besides his father, he is predeceased by his wife, Charlene, daughter, Brandi Allen, and brother, Fred Norton. He is survived by his mother, Lila Norton and her husband, Curtis of Hudson Falls; sons, Larry Allen Jr., and his wife, Cindy of VA, Curtis Allen and his wife, Wendy of Glens Falls, and Eugene Allen of Binghamton, VT; daughter, Susan Allen and her husband, Stewart of Binghamton, VT; step-daughter, Marie Pascucci and her husband, Tim of Troy; siblings, Eugene Allen and his companion, Jamie Smith of VT, and Debbie Fuller of Hudson Falls; half-sister, Carrie Allen of KY; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Larry’s family from 1 to 2 pm, Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 2 pm, at the funeral home. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his niece, Julie, her husband, Richie and their children for all they have done for Larry over the years. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the C. R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital.
