To Darcy, Darren & Jason,
I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of times I spent in your home. Your Mom and Dad always made me feel so welcome. They were always so very warm and friendly. I'm sorry for you loss.

Jim was a wonderful friend to Bernie and me. Bernie loved sharing the coaching duties with him because of his knowledge of the game and his ability to connect with the players. I have shared the corner with Jim at many of the women's games and never failed to enjoy the play more because of it. My best wishes and condolences to each member of the family of which he was so proud. I have lost a great friend.

I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I have so many fond memories of being a kid and hanging out at SUNY Canton with my dad (Joel Bixby) and the whole crew who worked there at the time! Very formative years, and I was just a faculty brat!! I know he had so much influence on so many people, students and everyone, what an amazing life. RIP Mr. McInnis.

MORT BACKUS AND SONS of OGDENSBURG NY posted a condolence

Jim was a life long customer of Mort Backus and Sons. We are quite sure that he bought every Chevrolet here and there were quite a few. We also remember Jim providing our driver with a cigar when he picked up his vehicle for service. He spent alot of his time here in our bodyshop but always was good natured about the situation. Most of the work resulted from his plowing of his neighborhood. He will certainly be missed by the employees at Mort Backus and Sons. We are thinking of his family during this difficult time.

To Darin & Katie, Darcy & Kristine, Jason & Jennie, grandchildren, and sister, Irene;
We were saddened to read of Jim's passing and to learn of Bonnie's death several years ago. Somehow, we missed her death. As Franklin St. neighbors of long ago we never forgot the McInnis'. You boys played hockey with Dave & Bill as youngsters as we parents froze in the stands! You are now experiencing the same, I would guess. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. May God bless you all.
Sincerely; Dick & Sandy Fox

Sending sympathy to the family of Jim. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He is a quiet, sweet man I got to know at the local post office where I worked. I am also with the local fire department where I had to visit him at home a couple of times. "Darn smoke detector" I wish I had gotten to know him more, I would have loved to hear about his hockey background which I never knew that he played. Please know that he will be missed.
