I am so sorry to hear that Aunt Bid passed. I have many wonderful memories of spending summers at her home in North River as a kid. I wish I could have come east more often. Love to all the family. 3B

Betty was the quintessential Adirondack Woman- tough as nails and (eventually) old as the hills! She raised a great family and lived a very successful life- she was one of a kind. I would like to extend my condolences to Judy and the rest of the Monroe family.

We are keeping all of the family in our thoughts and prayers.
I always called her Bid since that's what I heard my cousins call their beloved Aunt. She will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to know her.

As a long time cafeteria employee , Betty played an important role in every kid's life who ever walked the halls of Johnsburg Central School .
Betty was the white uniformed lady who greeted every lunchroom child with a warm smile and actually remembered all of our names..
Known town wide for her fabulous cooking skills,, Betty raised a wonderful family who loved her dearly..

John, Judy, Jimmy and families,
Reg and I want to let you know we are thinking of you all during this time. I will miss your Mom, I had a great time bowling with her and your Dad. I'll never forget the time my car broke down and your Mom and I had to walk in the pitch dark on 28. It was scary then but we always had a good laugh about it in later years. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to ask.
Love Roxy & Reg
