Warrensburg:
Donald T. Parker, 93, beloved father, of Warren Street, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Creek.
Born October 3, 1914 in Thurman, he was the son of the late Allen and Alice (Cameron) Parker.
Don was a lifelong resident of the area and married Lena D. Bennett on February 23, 1948.
He was a very involved member of his community. He was a longtime member and past Master of the former Glendale Lodge 497 Free Accepted Masons in Pottersville and a current member of the Warrensburgh Lodge 425 F & AM, a total of 40 years in Masonry.
Throughout his career, Don worked as an operating engineer for the Local 106, until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping with his friends and family.
After 45 years of marriage, his beloved wife, Lena, passed away on April 12, 1993. Besides his wife, Don is also predeceased by his son, Thomas; his two brothers, Dennis and James, and his sister, Marion Kenyon.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Combs and her husband, Gene of Warrensburg; four sons from a previous marriage; Carson Parker and his wife, Sharon of Warrensburg; Allen Parker of Thurman; Neil Parker of Clifton Park; and Rodney Parker of Chestertown; four grandsons, Billy, John, Chris and Justin Parker and Craig Combs; four granddaughters, Kelly Jarvis, Colleen Williams, Jennifer Scheffler, and Terry Lynn Cummins; 13 great- grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends man call on Don’s family from 5-8 pm Monday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg.
Members of the Warrensburgh Lodge 425 F&AM will conduct the Masonic service at 7:30 pm during the visitation Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery.
