Obituary of Carrie M. Paull

Friends Lake: Carrie M. Paull, 82, of Friends Lake, Chestertown, passed away on September 27, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brant Lake on March 12, 1926, she was the daughter of Elwin and Edna (Morehouse) Younes. On July 18, 1948 she married Albert Paull Sr. They moved to Friends Lake in 1949 and worked together first at their Northern Softwood Shaving Company, and later Al’s excavation business until his death in 1980. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons: Melvin, Donald and Ronald; also sisters: Lillian Sharp, Elizabeth Jensen, brother Elwin Younes Jr.; and great-granddaughter Lauren Paulsen. She is survived by daughters Florence Converse and her husband, Kelly of Friends Lake with whom she resided; Mary Weaver and her husband, Wilbur of Lake George; sons: Albert Paull Jr. and his wife, Hazel of Friends Lake; Bernard Paull of Clyde; her sisters: Marion Millington, Phoebe David and Alice Webster; brothers: John and his wife Shirley; Donald and and his wife, Joan; Carl and his wife Diane; James; Gary and his wife Beth; Asa and his wife Connie; Jackie and companion Betty; Larry and his wife, Patty; and Harry; granddaughters: Sarah Converse, Teresa Breuer, Jacque Hughes, Valorie McGilvra, Renee Puliapte, Jamie Patterson, Yvonne Paull. Grandsons: Brett Hagadorn, Dan Paull, Tom Paull, Donald Paull, and Bryan Paull; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Carrie is also survived by long time friend, Ingrid Lehrmann, who was like a daughter to her. Friends may call from 12 to 2 pm Wednesday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Sharon Sauer, pastor of the Chestertown United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Chester Rural Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of The High Peaks Hospice and Home Instead.
