Obituary of Pauline S. Shepard

North Creek: Pauline (Polly) Shepard of North Creek breathed her last on Saturday, June 6 at home with family by her side. Polly was born in Whitehall on February 5, 1921. She was the daughter of Charles and Fannie Emma (Walker) Stark. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis. She is survived by her three children: Karen Prouty and her husband, Jack of North Creek, Rev. Carl Shepard and his wife, Johanne of Rexford, and Curt Shepard and his wife, Wendy of Overgaard, AZ, six grandchildren and five great grand-children. Polly was retired from Johnsburg Central School, was a long-time member of the North Creek United Methodist Church where she was very active in years past. An avid knitter and quilter, she had made quilts for all of her descendants and countless hats, mittens, socks, and teddy bear sweaters. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 12, at the North Creek United Methodist Church, Rev. Kristi Van Patten, Pastor officiating. At Polly’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. Interment will be in the North Granville Cemetery.
