North Creek: Jane E. (Maloney) Stark, 80, of State Rt. 28, went quietly into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at her home following short illness. Born March 11, 1927 in Wevertown, she was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Beach) Maloney. Jane was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed country living and traveling. Being an avid traveler, she would visit friends as far away as Nova Scotia and Florida. She was a devoted caregiver and contributed to the enjoyment and superior quality of life for many that she enlightened and shared their final days with. Jane was an active community volunteer and served as a member and past President of the Saratoga Springs VFW Post. Her final days were devoted to bringing together estranged families and teaching by examples how to live your life in service to others and finding peace and joy in what has been given to you. Besides her parents, her husband, Robert Stark and her son, Timothy Lynn McCane have both predeceased her. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Chandler and her husband, Michael of Queensbury, Carol Billington of Gansevoort, Marion Monroe of North Creek; her son, Carl (Luke) McCane and his wife, Donna of South Glens Falls; her brother, James Maloney and his wife, Garnet of South Glens Falls; her sister, Joan Wescott of Ballston Spa; as well as 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Jane’s family from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River.
