I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that Heather, Brook and the Hitchcock family and friends are feeling because of losing Fred recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) You are in my prayers.

May I express my heartfelt condolences to the family. At this time there is a void in our lives when someone we love dies. Many wonder and ask how do I get through this time? Prayer is extremely valuable at this time, Psalms 55:22. As you cry and mourn over the loss please remember Jesus Christ spoke about a hope of seeing our loved ones again at John 5:28," all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out". May the God of comfort (Psalms 83:18) be your comfort during this time of great loss.

Dear Heather, Brook, Lewis, Dan, Judy, Penny and the extended Hitchcock family: Sue and I both knew Fred well. Sue from school days and I from working together at the Town of Johnsburg where Fred was a great Highway Superintendent. Fred’s stories about hunting and the outdoors showed just how much he loved being outdoors. We know that the entire family will miss Fred, but remember how great it was to have known him as the tributes in this guest book testify.

Lou, Penny, Judy, Dan and family’s . We were shocked and saddened of hearing about Fred’s passing. He as a great guy and a friend with a contagious laugh and smile but was never bashful about showing displeasure if needed and to me that’s one trait of a good man. If there is any comfort at all it might be in knowing he was doing what he loved where he eantd to be. Our thoughts are with you. Fred will be missed. Kibby, Michele, and Brooke French

I always enjoyed each and every encounter with Fred and would always leave feeling better due to his great sense of humor and his compassionate way of listening. I remember one time I was getting very tired cutting and splitting a mountain of firewood, and he just showed up, pitched right in, and changed a wearisome task into fun.... His daughters are a great testament to his wonderful life. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him...
