Warrensburg: Brenda J. Beadnell, 72, of Sanford St., passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 27, 1942 at the home of her grandparents in Stony Creek, she was the daughter of the late Malangton “Lank” and Edith (Combs) Bills. Brenda was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School, class of 1960 and later attended Adirondack Community College. She married her soulmate, John Beadnell on July 9, 1960, passing away on the couple’s 54th wedding anniversary. Her hobbies included camping, climbing, and exploring the Adirondack Mountains, traveling with her husband, and riding on the back of his red motorcycle. When she wasn’t outdoors, she could often be found cooking, crocheting, and knitting. Second to John, Brenda’s greatest love was volunteering, she loved helping people. She connected with High Peaks Hospice in 1994 and was still active with the organization until her death. She was a member of the Community of St. Cecilia, assisting at the gathering place, North Country Ministry, and Baby Place, and was also a Warren County Ombudsman for the Office of the Aging. Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her granddaughter, Katie Beadnell.
