Richard T. Salmon, 73, of Hoffman Rd., passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at his winter home in North Creek.
Born September 1, 1940 in Saratoga, he was the son of the late Thomas Richard and Ruth (Burdick) Salmon.
Richard was employed by Niagara Mohawk, as a foreman for 32 years, before his retirement in 1996.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed spending time at his camp in Olmstedville, hunting, and hiking.
He is survived by his six children, Tammy Shippey, and her husband, David, of Charlton, Laurie Hampshire, of Middle Grove, Brenda Salmon, of Charlton, Jay Salmon, and his wife, Michelle, of Queensbury, Daniel Salmon, and his fiancé, Amber Benson, of Porters Corners, and Thomas Salmon, of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Courtney, Kyle, Alexander, Jacob, and JJ; two great-granddaughters, Aamira and Laya.
At Richard’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
