My condolences to Gherie, Scott and family. Nancy was my pal when we were kids. Our stomping grounds were from Main Street to the railroad tracks and from Circle Avenue to Joe and Gloria Baroudi's store. I got bit by a chipmunk trying to show her how brave I was. We were in classes together throughout our high school years and even though we went our separate ways after graduation, whenever we got together it was like we had never been apart. My wife and I sat with Nancy at our 50th high school reunion and we recounted the good old days and all the fun times we had. The bond we formed can never be broken, Nancy was a wonderful person and we will all miss her very much, Rest in Peace, my childhood pal!

Nancy was a real piece of work! I learned a lot about her past from her very moving obituary- one of the best I have ever read. It is a wonderful tribute to a tough and feisty Adirondacker from her devoted son and daughter. Cherie, Scott and family... Words seem inadequate to express what a wonderful person your mom was! She was "Ma" to every one of us many kids who hung out at your house when we were growing up, and her ability to tolerate our shenanigans was unreal. She never missed a concert or a sports game...
