Obituary of Kenneth H. Roblee

Kenneth H. Roblee, 79, of 14th Road, passed away, Tuesday Morning, October 24, 2006 at the Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 20, 1927 in North Creek, he was the son of the late Luie and Harriet (Holcomb) Roblee.
Following his high school graduation, Ken entered the US Army and was discharged with the rank of Tec. 5.
Ken was a 50 + year member of the Operating Engineers Local 106. He also was a member of the Warrensburgh Lodge 425 F&AM, Warrensburg Chapter 325 Royal Arch Masons and the Oriental Temple. He enjoyed his role as a Keystone Kop.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling by R.V. touring the 50 states.
Besides his parents, Ken’s three sisters, Myrtle Harrington, Geneva Kramer and Jean Ordway; brother, Milton Roblee have also predeceased him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Clara (Mitchell) Roblee of Minerva; his two daughters, Linda Dutra and her husband, Kevin of Fort Edward, Lorrie Babbel of Queensbury; five grandchildren, Chad Shine and his wife, Kim of Virginia, Traci Plude and her husband, Larry of Fort Edward, Joe Fuerst and his wife, Bonita of Canada, Cindy Coulter and her husband, John of Queensbury, Josh Babbel of New Jersey; seven great grandchildren, Alison and Emily Shine, Ryan and Ashley Plude, Brandon and Carter Coulter and Alexis Babbel; several nieces and nephews.
Ken’s family extends a special thank you to Bob and Becky Hitchcock for their love and support.
Friends may call on Ken’s family from 5-8 pm Thursday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
Masonic service will be held at 7:30 pm immediately followed by a service conducted by the North Creek American Legion Post 629 during the visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Friday at the Minerva Baptist Church with Ken’s nephew, the Rev. David Newkirk officiating with the Rev. Kathleen Davie, assisting.
Burial will follow in the Minerva Baptist Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Eric Klippel, Frank Allard, Phil Johnson, Don Mitchell, Ron Williams and Charles Stewart.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for children, 516 Crew Street, Springfield, MA 01104-2396
