Obituary of Peter A. Zaffo

Peter A. Zaffo, 64, of Elm Street, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 19, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 15, 1952, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Mullen) Zaffo, had a great interest in the Bible, astronomy, and the earth sciences, especially the Aurora Borealis and lightning. He gave many lectures locally on the Aurora and various lightning phenomena at schools, libraries, ADK, Up Yonda Farm, and Pack Forest and had numerous articles published in several scientific journals as well as on Youtube. He was an avid inventor of several apparatuses to demonstrate these phenomena which were enjoyed by many over the years.
Recently, Peter took interest as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, helping family, friends, and neighbors learn about Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and God’s kingdom which will soon turn all the earth into a global paradise where people will be able to live in peace, wellness, and security, forever.
At Peter’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral scheduled and his earthly remains have been generously donated to the Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift program.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 1 pm, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Horicon Avenue, Warrensburg.
