Queensbury: Warren Clayton Smith, 79, a long time resident of Perry, FL, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at his residence at the Adirondack Manor in Queensbury. Born on February 21, 1930 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Willard and Minnie (Bullard) Smith. Warren was a painter by trade and worked for nearly 30 years with the Taylor County School District in Perry, FL. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, golfing, and being around his friends and family. Besides his parents, Warren is predeceased by his four brothers: Floyd, Erwin (Obie), Carson, and Kenneth Smith; and his sister, Irene (Smith) Cheney. Survivors include his sister, Emma Jane Calogero of Maybrook; nieces and nephews: Karen TenEyck and her late husband, Brad, who passed away on May 16, 2008; William and Kathy Smith; Michael and Lori Smith; and Kenneth Smith, Jr., all of Olmstedville. At Warren’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. A memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family.
