Obituary of Bonnie Lee Burckard

Warrensburg: Bonnie Lee (Morrison) Burckard, 67, formerly of Warrensburg, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 20, 2017 in Ocala, FL, after her courageous battle with cancer. Born July 6, 1949, Bonnie was known for being the other or better half of the band, “Country Tradition”, performing with her husband, Smokey; the couple was well known for many years throughout the region, prior to relocating their family to Florida. She has joined her husband in eternal rest, where they will continue to make beautiful music together. She is survived by four children, Richard Burckard of Dunnellon, FL, Rebecca Jayne and her husband, Douglas, Regina Davis and her husband, Steven, and Rhonda Kirsch and her husband, Christopher, all of the Ocala, FL area; ten grandchildren, Megan, Rebecca, Heather, Stephen, Tanya, Michael, Chase, Kristen, Ashley, and Loren, all of whom reside in Florida; 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Terry and Michael Morrison, both of Warrensburg, Mark, John, and Robert Mitchell and Paul Lacross, all of Glens Falls; and a sister, Kathy Mitchell of Glens Falls. At Bonnie’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
