Norma B. Eldridge, 87, formerly of Warrensburg and a longtime resident of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away Friday morning, December 14, 2012 at the Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Born May 8, 1925 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Myrtle (Harris) Wallace.
Norma spent the majority of her life residing in Warrensburg.
She married Grant B. Eldridge in 1972; he passed away in 2010 after 38 years of marriage.
She retired after 14 years with the Warren Co. Department of Social Services and has been enjoying her retirement years in Florida.
Norma was a member of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church and belonged to the Queen Village Chapter 825 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, gardening, and painting.
Norma leaves behind her son, Bernard H. Baker, Jr. of Warrensburg and his partner, Harriett; her brother, Donald (Bud) Wallace and his wife, Frances of Warrensburg; granddaughters, Brandi Farr of Glens and Heather Laugs of Hadley Luzerne; and grandsons, Jacob and Connor. She is also survived by her step-children, Leonard Eldridge and his wife, Regina of Warrensburg; Thomas Eldridge and his wife, Mary of Langhorne, PA; Mary Litts and her husband, Robert of Pinellas Park, FL; Alice Pike of Glens Falls; Patrick Eldridge and his wife, Luann of Thurman; and Robert Eldridge of Madison, FL; along with several additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at a time to be announced in the spring in the Warrensburg Cemetery.
