Barbara Ann Korth, 50, passed away at the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation on Thursday, April 4, 2013.
A resident of Poughquag, NY and formerly of LaGrangeville, she was born in Norfolk, VA on January 3, 1963, to the late David Hamilton and Ann (Cornwell) Hamilton O’Connor of Poughquag.
Affectionately known as BarbAnn, she graduated from Junius H. Rose High School in 1981, before attending the Dorsey School where she earned her national certification as a medical assistant; she later worked as a certified medical assistant at Michigan Urology, Sterling Heights, MI.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Maxwell and Dorothy Hamilton, and her maternal grandfather, Hewlett E. Cornwell.
In addition to her mother, Ann O’Connor, BarbAnn is survived by two sons, Thomas Greer of LaGrangeville, and Hamilton Korth of Poughquag; one brother, William Hamilton of Boiling Springs, PA; her grandmother, Barbara Douglas of North River; her step-father, Joseph O’Connor of Poughquag; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Burial will take place in North River Cemetery at later date to be announced.
