Warrensburg: Jackie L. “Jack” Sullivan, 80, of Warren Street, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with heart failure. Born January 10, 1932 in Dixon, IL, he was the son of the late Lindel and Idelle (Roberts) Sullivan. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country during the Korean War. He married Beverly A. Sprague on April 21, 1960 and the couple began their family in New Jersey before moving to the north-country in 1965. Jack was ultimate “jack of all trades” and over the years worked at Hill Stop Pizza Shop, bartended at many local pubs, and managed the BP Station, Video Broker, and EZ Duzzit. He retired in 2001 from Warren Ford Dealership in Warrensburg. His favorite pastimes included spending time with his family and grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, who helped raised him following the passing of his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Beverly Sullivan of Warrensburg; his children: Debbie Brown and her husband, Ernie, Denise Fruda and her husband, Richard, Bucky Sullivan; and Sandy Andrews and her husband, Bernie all of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Deana Collard and her husband, Joseph; Tony Fruda and his wife, Paige; Brandon Fruda, Justin and Payton Andrews; his great-grandchildren: Antoinette, Maria, and Carmyn Fruda; Kadin Swanson and Karlie Collard; his sister, Jean McDanials of Flora, IL; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. At Jack’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. Services will be conducted privately at the convenience of his family. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Jack’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. Please visit www.alexanderfh.net for online guestbook, condolences and directions.
