I always looked forward to our family vacations at Trout Lake and the cottage my parents built on the lake. The weekly cookouts at the main house were a favorite. Nellie and Walter always were great hosts and invited us to spend the night in the main house on occasion when apparently we had no other option. Nellie always made us feel welcome and had goodies for us to snack on.

I was blessed to have been introduced to Nellie, by my dearest friend Karen Villesvik, many years ago.
Nellie was always an inspiration with her warm smiles and easy going personality.
I will cherish the many memories I have of her. From Nellies 100th birthday at the Rain Tree, sunning on Trout Lake or just sitting with her on the sun porch with her favorite dog friend Sadie.
She will be greatly missed but very fondly remembered.
All our love to the entire family.
Sincerely
Eileen Gilbert and The Gilbert Family

From the early 1960's, the most exciting part of the Biscotts' year was going to Trout Lake Village for two weeks every July. It was a magical place where lifelong friendships were born. This was all thanks to Walter and Nellie who organized cookouts, bonfires, pizza nights and more during those two weeks. We met some of our favorite people at the lake.
The last few times that Nellie arrived at the annual Labor Day party, it was as if a celebrity had hit the beach. All cameras pointed her way and everyone wanted to talk to her.
She was a classy, creative, artistic and fashionable woman who always had a good story and was always interested in how the younger generations were doing.
We have lost the queen of Trout Lake Village but we will be reminded of her every spring when the forget-me-nots, that she planted, bloom on the hill.
Our sympathies are extended to the family, Love the Biscott Overbury Family

My family and I have the fondest memories of warm summer days and cool crisp nights at Trout Lake Village. Most importantly are the special lifelong friendships that we forged with the Wurzbach and Villesvik family.
Even in North Carolina I sense that the Adirondack Mountains will join us as we mourn the loss of such a warm and welcoming soul as Nellie Wurzbach. Never ending, Nellie’s loving smile is ever present in my heart and soul. Please know that your family is in our thoughts.

My Grandma's happiest years were lived at Trout Lake. She was deservedly proud of the wonderful Trout Lake Village community which grew out of the original 7 cottages (and 1 annex) that she and my Grandfather built and rented. It gave her great joy to reflect on all her TLV visitors and friends, with 3rd and 4th generations still part of this special place.
She was truly blessed.
