JOHNSBURG: William L. “Bill” Russell, 79 years old of Johnsburg, NY passed away on February 2, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Bill was born on July 5, 1945, at Glens Falls Hospital to the late Herbert Eugene and Barbara Pearl (Wescott) Russell. He was deeply passionate about playing and singing old-style country music, a love that began at the age of 5 and continued until his mid-70s. Throughout his life, Bill held various jobs, including driving truck for UPS and working in maintenance at a mobile home park in Florida. He was known for his skills as a handyman.
Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by his sister Patricia Ann (Russell) Hall.
Bill is survived by his sister, Wanda M. (Timothy) Robillard; his daughter, Cammie Lynn Laplanche; his grandson, Matthew Palmer; and his ex-wife, Darlene Russell.
In accordance with Bill's wishes, no services are scheduled.
