Bolton Landing: Richard A. Dickson, 55, of Brook Street, passed away, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Born December 8, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Esther (Lee) Dickson. Rick was a self employed contractor for many years and during that time, made many great friends throughout the years. He loved spending time with his family and his beloved dogs. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Hope Dickson of Bolton Landing; his children: Ryan Dickson and Teresa Dickson, both of Bolton Landing; Richard Dickson, Jr. and Tara Dickson, both of NC; his sister-in-law, Pamela Mosher and her husband, Ron of Corinth; his brother-in-law, Preston Wood and his companion, Rita of South Glens Falls; his mother-in-law, Rose Marie Wood of Bolton Landing; his granddaughter, Jada; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his four legged friend, Pucker. At Rick’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. Rick’s family would like to thank his close friends, Frank McDonald, Randy Harrington, and Mike and Vicki Urtz, as well as Dr. Pillemer of the C.R. Wood Cancer Center and Dr. Bryan Smead and staff of Hudson Headwaters Health Network in Bolton for their friendship, dedication, and compassionate care during his final years.
