Athol: Donald E. Haskell, 57, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 05, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Born April 3, 1964 in Foyrth, Michigan, he was the son of the late Frank and Linda Haskell of Athol. He was a lifelong resident of the area and on March 3, 1984, married the love of his life, Hilda S. Rounds. Together they had a son, Jamie E. Haskell. Donald worked at various places as a lift operator including, Lincoln Logs, R.T. Jones and Tommy Vaughn Lumber. He retired from Lincoln Logs due to health concerns. He was also a member of the Auxiliary Haskell Brothers VFW Post 4821. Donald never asked for help but if you needed something done he was there willing to help you or give you the shirt off his back. If he didn’t already have it he would find someone who did. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Jamie Haskell, brother, Raymond Haskell, sister, Francis Morrison, nephew, Charles Haskell Jr., and a great niece, Racheal Daley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hilda S. Haskell, brother, Charles Haskell of Thurman, sister Charlotte LaPell of Florida, neighbor, Cheryl and Marc Kenyon whom he loved dearly as a sister and brother, along with several nieces, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
