I learnt about the passing of Eileen this September 2024.
As teenage girls we spent a few fun summers together at Lake George (Chelka Lodge). Will always cherish those memories. Eileen was a bright light and exuded energy. We fell out of touch after her graduation from high school. That smile was contagious. My condolences to her family.

I was thinking of her this morning and decided to google her name. I'm saddened to hear she passed. I worked with her and David at their Day Spa. She was a wonderful person to work for. Very driven, hard working, extremely talented.
My deepest condolences to David, her children and family.

I worked with Eileen at David Michael’s salon in Latham. She hired me and was an enormous help to me in the beginning of my career. Thoughts and prayers to David and their children.

I used to race up the stairs at Chelka Lodge trying to get to your room but you’d always catch me just before I got to the top. We laughed kid hard. You were the big sister I didn’t have. May your memory be a blessing

I first met Eileen and David in 1989. We were young and new in business. Our business relationship turned into a personal friendship. I will miss Eileen’s sense of humor, her laugh and how good she would make me feel when I would run into her. David to you and your family I hope you are feeling some comfort knowing you have friends who are thinking about you during this difficult time. Love , John and Nydia

Momma,
I learn something new about you every single day. Dad tells us stories about you and I am always left eager to hear more.
I feel your motherly comfort, a sense of security since you’ve passed. I’ve gained a wonderful angel . We all have. And I thank you♥️
I hear you in myself. When I laugh , talk a little too loud, when I sing. You inspire me to keep moving forward, even when I fail. ♥️
I see you all around me. I see you in all of us, I see you in the sunset, in my dreams, and the little things like when I cook, go to the beach, or pick up a book. ♥️
You’ve been a blessing for this entire family. You and dad have taught me what unconditional love looks like, what a soulmate is, and patience.
I love you very much. Until we meet again momma.

I was lucky enough to have Eileen style my hair for a number of years. I loved going to the salon in Schodack made gorgeous by David's gardens and indoor koi pond. It was an event. I loved hearing all of Eileen's stories about her kids and their football, track and soccer exploits. And later her adventures with Henry. After the Scotts moved up north, I followed Eileen to booths she rented in Clifton Park and Albany. She was truly one of a kind and genuinely loved what she did and it showed. My heart goes out to her family.

(Looking for the light)
Waking up one day in a world you never understood and trying to make sense of it all. A world you tried so hard to fit into but just couldn’t,no matter how much you wanted too! Feeling around in the dark for that door that opens up to your home. A place where there is no dark only light, a place that is kind and understanding to others, but most of all is peaceful, that place that lies just beyond your thoughts and dreams. But for now you turn on the light switch and except this world for all that is. For all it’s Greatness and beauty and all it’s sadness and pain and understand that it just is what it is for now. And know that someday we will go home, where we are loved unconditionally .
