Warrensburg: Laura E Rafferty, 76, passed away Saturday April 18th, 2020 comfortably at home surrounded by her family. Born February 10, 1944 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Laurence Tracey and Leona Wescott. Laura lived in many in many different places but always returned to her home. She was an avid reader, loved reading Louis L'Amoure and very much loved by family and friends. She is survived by daughters Shari LaVergne of North Creek and Lisa Whitcavitch-Montoya of Evergreen Colorado; grandchildren, James LaVergne, Phil LaVergne, Tamar Hackbarth, Elizabeth Gibbs, Caleb Montoya and 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Allison of Warrensburg, Susan (Robert) Baker, brother, James (Betty) Reynolds of Lake Luzerne. The family would like to extend a special thank you to High Peaks Hospice, as well as her caregivers, Dr. Suzanne Bergin at Hudson Headwaters and Dr. Darci Gaiotti-Grubbs of the C. R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital. As per her request there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at Reynolds Cemetery.
