Obituary of Colleen M. Bealmear

It is with great sadness that the family of Colleen Marie (Stone) Bealmear announces her passing on December 7, 2019, at the age of 56.

Born December 21, 1962 in Glens Falls, Colleen was the daughter of the late Nancy L. Stone and Frederick C. Stone Sr. 

Colleen grew up in Warrensburgh, and attended both Castleton University and Adirondack Community College where she graduated with a degree in accounting. She was employed for many years by Merrill Automotive, NEPCO, and ran her own accounting business. She also was the owner and creator of BeAdorned where she fulfilled her creative passion making beaded jewelry and suncatchers.

Colleen enjoyed spending her time with friends and family and always worked to make others feel welcome in her home. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved the time they spent together playing games, baking, and creating beaded pieces of art. She was a woman of many talents who had an amazing green thumb, and the ability to see beauty in many things that most couldn’t. She had a knack for making old things look new again, and creating personal gifts that her friends and family will always cherish.

Her family will remember her for her caring ways, love of cooking, and passion that put into her work. They’ll remember all of the beautiful artwork she has created through her love of cross stitching, photography editing, and intricate beading. Her brother will cherish the many memories they’ve created through the years. Colleen’s daughter will always remember the pride her mother took in having a beautiful home surrounded by lush gardens and loving pets. Her grandchildren will always have their fond memories of their sleepovers at Grandma’s, candlelit pancake dinners, and their shared passion for creating art in many forms. 

Colleen is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Dale E. Bealmear, as well as her uncle Charles L. Orem. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kaitlyn A. (Stone) Quick and her husband Kevin J. Quick of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; grandchildren Natalie J. Quick, Nathaniel A. Quick, and Nicolette I. Quick of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; brother Frederick C. Stone Jr. and his wife Carolyn S. Stone of Potsdam, N.Y.; nephew Benjamin A. Stone and his fiance Andrew Jennings of South Bend, I.N.; nephew Daniel F. Stone of Denver, C.O.; aunt Patricia Orem of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; aunt Carol Gillis and her husband Paul Gillis of Dover, D.E.; cousin Chip Barnaby and his children and grandchildren of Plattsburgh; cousins Craig Friend, Dixie Abernathy, and Becky Friend. She is also survived by many amazing friends that she cherished, especially her dear, lifelong friend, Dawn Zwart who she cherished her many, many years of memories with. 

Colleen’s family would like to thank all of the home health nurses and aides that helped her during her times of difficult health the past few years. Colleen spoke so highly of everyone and her family is extremely appreciative of the care she was given.

Private services for the Colleen’s family will be held at the family’s convenience.
