Obituary of Isabelle M. Dickinson

Warrensburg: Isabelle M. Dickinson, 95, of Rosalie Ave., passed away peacefully, Monday, April 25, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 7, 1916 in The Glen, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Potter) Bennett. Isabelle was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked at the former Warrensburg Shirt Factory for many years, eventually being promoted to Plant Manager. She enjoyed many years camping with family members and traveling and wintering in Florida. Isabelle was well known for her delicious rolls and pies that she would prepare for any event in town. She was a member of the Warrensburg Faith Baptist Church. Besides her parents, Isabelle is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Marshall F. Shaw; her second husband of 13 years, Arthur Dickinson; and her son, Marshall W. Shaw, who died in 1996; sisters, Hazel Rounds, Lena Parker, Gladys Delorenzo, Beatrice LaGoy, Bessie French; and her brother, Beecher Bennett. She leaves behind a daughter, Barbara M. Anderson and her husband, Wayne of Warrensburg; daughter-in-law, Rene Shaw of Bolton; step-daughter, Jane Infantino and her husband, Michael, Lake George; sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Olden of Coxsackie, Mildred Johnson and her husband, Stanley of Warrensburg, and Bertha Brown and her husband, William of FL; grandchildren, Tina Bapp and her husband, Todd, Marshall Timothy Shaw and his companion, Tammy; and their mother, Carol Shaw of Bolton; Michelle Martino and her husband, James, and Wayne Anderson and his companion, Crystal; 5 great-grandchildren, Teesha, Todd, Tristina, Marshall Aaron, Jessica; one great-great grand daughter, Tessah; two step grandchildren, Dr. Benjamin Infantino and his wife, Sarah, and Arthur Infantino; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Isabelle’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Diane Baker, Bob and Jean Norris, Gloria and Bill Smith, Marge Peters and many other close friends. Friends may call on Isabelle’s family from 12-2 pm Friday, April 29th at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 2 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee B. Call, Pastor of the Warrensburg Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Martino, Wayne Anderson Jr., Marshall Aaron Shaw, Maxfield Pieper, Todd Bapp, Todd Bapp II.
