Mary M. Cullen, 74, of East Schroon River Road, passed away peacefully Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Adirondack Tri-County Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Creek.
Born April 21, 1937 in Potsdam, she was the daughter of the late Myron and Eva (Dennis) Planty.
Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and married James A. Cullen Sr., on March 1, 1958 and the couple enjoyed 35 wonderful years together until his passing on August 8, 1992.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Steven J. Cullen and his wife, Karen of Fort Edward, and James A. Cullen, Jr. of Diamond Point; her three grandsons, Steven Cullen, James Cullen III and Robert Cullen; three great granddaughters; her brother, Floyd Planty and his wife, Gloria of Warrensburg; her sisters, Lucy DeGrush of Hudson, Martha Cutlass of Norwood; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her longtime companion, Clyde Waite of Warrensburg.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours scheduled.
Mary’s earthly remains will be interred with her beloved husband in the Warrensburg Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Mary’s family to help offset necessary expenses.
