Dan,Annie and Barry,
It was good to see you yesterday, although I know we all wish it was for a different reason. I was very fortunate to get to know Ronnie as more than my aunt, but also as a good friend. I wanted to let you know there was never a time when I was around Ronnie that she did not mention your names or her grandchildren's names. Anytime I would see Ronnie, she always had pictures or newspaper clips of her family that she would show to me, she was so proud of all of you.
Dan, you made her very happy...she adored you and especially your humor. I think back to the time we went to the Garrison for lunch, Ronnie and I ordered our lunch and then the waiter turned to you and said "what would you like?" and you said " I would like some soup" and the waiter said "would you like a bowl of soup?" and you said with a very serious face, "no, I would like a plate of soup" the waiter had no idea what to say...Ronnie and I laughed so hard we had tears running down our face. That was just one of many laughs that you gave to Ronnie. She talked about you all of the time, she truly enjoyed her life with you and loved you very much.
My love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. She will be missed very much.

Dear Amy and Wayne,
There is no way I can comprehend your loss. I reckon it has left you both searching for answers that may be difficult to ever find. Your pain touches me and I mourn your loss. I wish you strength to deal with your pain and please know how deeply I feel for you at this time. I will remember so fondly your grandmother. She would stop at the kayak shop to gather Wayne. We would talk about fishing spots on Lake George, how her Pungo was handling and she would share jerky with the most amazing rub...yummy! Although Ronnie is no longer among us physically, her kindness, warmth, and concern for others, her activities and energy will surround us, guide us and will endure through us as we strive to be like her. I feel fortunate to have known your grandmother. I hope you find comfort in the many fond memories people will share and may you find comfort in your fondest memories.
As always,
You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Melanie

Gram was an amazing woman. You did not need to know her long to know that. From the moment I met her, she was always loving, kind, funny, and thoughtful - always putting others before herself. I saw this especially with Wayne and Amy, her grandchildren who she loved so much. She was patient and taught them everything she knew, and played a great role in both of their lives that can never be replaced. I know that she helped Wayne grow into the man that he is today, for which I am truly thankful. I wish we all could have had more time with her, but I also know that her time on earth was not wasted. Looking at all that she has accomplished, only makes me hope that someday I can be able to say I did even half of what she has, and always with a smile on her face. She had a great sense of humor (I guess you would have to after being married to Dan Kincaid for 46 years) and an infectious laugh. The only memories that I will ever have of her are all good ones, and ones that will never be forgotten. My heart truly aches for the loss that is being felt by all who knew her, and especially her family.

There’s a special person missing here at Chokoloskee, but that special person, Ronnie Kincaid, will not be forgotten by her winter family! We met Ronnie and Dan on the first day of their first trip here – which was to be for just a few days before they explored other fishing spots in Florida. We told them that they would never find another place like Chokoloskee, and they stayed and have been coming back ever since. Like most of us, they were always anxious to get here and have, in fact, been the first to arrive for a few years. As the rest of us arrive, we always make our way to the front of the park and visit with old friends. Each year we would stop at their winter home for hugs and family news and to see first-hand the results of Ronnie’s magical green thumb – her two-feet tall tomatoes and herbs. There was always a place to sit and visit.
Ronnie could always be counted on to organize or help with any park project that needed to be done whether it was to decorate or to help clean up. Not only will we always think of Ronnie every time we pass her camper, but also every time we play dominoes or bingo or just go out to enjoy the sunset. Ronnie is gone but she will not be forgotten!
Our prayers and condolences go to Dan and their family.

Dear Dan and family, We feel so lucky to have been a part of Ronnie's Chokoloskee family. She looked out for all of us, providing entertainment and thoughtful touches to every day, sharing absolutely everything. For example, Ronnie was just getting ready to start her annual holiday baking, to share delicious goodies with everyone in this neighborhood!
Ronnie initiated so many park-wide activities, that everyone who stayed here benefited from her generosity, from food to fun. Dan and Ronnie's yard was the gathering spot for everyone. She loved that our lives here were all about relaxing and doing whatever we wanted to do, after working hard for so many years.
Ronnie was the "calculator" for the domino ladies, with the quickest math brain we'd ever seen! We loved spending non-fishing afternoons in the chickie, playing dominoes, watching the water. We were exercise and shopping buddies, and Its hard to think about how things will go without Ronnie here. We miss her very much.
We miss you as well, Dan, and hope you get back soon to the southern branch of your family.

My Dearest Ronnie Kincaid, Family and Friedns.
Ronnie was an amazing woman, if you didnt know that then you didnt know Ronnie. Let me tell you how it all began...I had some trouble with my truck when visitng some property my family owned on Trout Lake Rd. I called on Dan and Ronnie for help to park the truck until it could be fixed in the morning. Me, Dan & Ronnie started talking, they said they do some fishing and showed me pictures of fish they had stuffed. We went on a tour of the house, at which point I realized they had their own version of Bass Pro in the basement. The fishing was on! We fished Lake Georde, The Hudson, Ticonderoga lakes and Ponds and then Florida.
Now about Ronnie, she had too many qualiites to mention. A sweet heart, loving, caring, funny, always with a loving hand and ear to listen. She will be missed dearly. I love Ronnie very much and will still call on her from time to time because I know she will still be listening.
Love her second son,
