Obituary of Kenneth R. Weiler

Warrensburg: Kenneth R. Weiler, 56, of Orton Drive, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born April 17, 1955 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Deloris Weiler and Fredrick Weiler of Copauge. He married Mary E. Wulfken on June 2, 1979 in Plainview. Ken and Mary settled in Levittown and raised their two sons. The couple eventually relocated to the Warrensburg area in 1993 to be closer to family and friends. He was employed with Prospect Schools in Queensbury for several years. He enjoyed interacting with the students and his fellow faculty; making many friends along the way. Ken was a greatly devoted and loving husband to his wife, Mary whom he saw through life and its ups and downs. Following the passing of his wife, his world centered around his grandchildren. He cherished time spent in the company of the two favorite things in his life, his “Brodie Man” and “Baby Girl”. Besides his mother, he is predeceased by his beloved wife of 28 years, Mary Weiler. He is survived by his father, Fredrick Weiler and his wife, Lucielle of Copauge; his two sons, Joseph and Michael Weiler both of Warrensburg; his grandchildren, Brodie Kenneth, Grace Olivia and Maddilyn Crystal Weiler; his brother, Fredrick Weiler of LI; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ken’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to his brother in law, Joseph Wulfken and his wife, Lois for always being there and being a true friend. The family would also like to thank Dr. Mihindu and his staff, as well as the nurses on Tower 3 and Tower 6 for the impeccable care and compassion that was shown to him throughout his illness. At Ken’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Warrensburg Cemetery with Rev.
