NORTH RIVER Edward Eugene Wyant Sr., 79, left this world behind on Wednesday, June 7th, 2006, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on November 1, 1926, in Verbank, he was the son of the late Edward & Florence Wyant. Ed was a laborer much of his life working with concrete and block, constructing bridges and was a sought after stone mason. There wasn’t much he couldn’t build or fix. And in the end, he taught those near him how to depart this life with dignity. Ed was a true outdoorsman who shared his love of nature, fishing and camping with his beloved wife, Nancy and his 6 children, 4 step-children, 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren. He is survived by children, Jesse Wyant and his friend, Carol, and his children, J.J. and Tiffany; Joseph Wyant and his wife, Beth, and their sons, Andrew and Austin; Pamela Stewart and her husband, David, and their children, Stacey, Vincent, Stephanie and her husband, Kevin and their son Sean; Michael Wyant and his wife, Cheryl and their son Michael; Vincent and his friend, Alice; and Ed Wyant Jr. his wife, Terry and their children, Jeremy and his wife, Tammy and their children, Richard and Jolee; Ethan; Benjamin and his friend, Kim; Katrina and her husband, Carlos and their children, Carlos, Edward and Sophia; Patrick; and 3 step-children, Darrell; Lorri and her husband, Scott; Mark his wife, Lula and their daughter Heather. He leaves behind his brothers, Vincent Wyant; Bill Wyant and his wife, Verlie; Walt Bolde; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, his sisters Gwen, Lorraine, Alice and Joanie and a grandson, Donovan have all predeceased him. At Ed’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled and the services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory can be made to the wonderful nurses and support staff of High Peaks Hospice, Skye Farms in Riverbank, or to the charity of ones choice. Ed’s favorite saying was...”Git-R-Done!” Visit www.alexanderfuneralhomes.com for online guest book & condolences.
